Wedding FAQs

1. How do I reserve my wedding date?

To reserve your wedding date we require a signed agreement along with a $400 deposit.

2. When do I have to make the rest of my payments on my wedding agreement?

Half of the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your wedding and the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding.

3. I am thinking of having some (or most) of my church photography done before the ceremony. Is this a good idea?

Yes, it is a good idea. Even if the bride and the groom are not seeing each other before the ceremony, much of the church photography can be done before the ceremony.

4. I am looking at your hourly selections. How many hours am I going to need to cover my wedding?

When we meet the first time we can work out a rough timeline to estimate how many hours you would need. Factors that have to be taken into consideration are the size of your wedding party, the types of family pictures desired, distance between church and reception site, and are you looking for pictures at more than two locations.

5. When do I receive my wedding proofs?

Wedding proofs are ready for pickup in 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding.

6. When will my finished album be ready?

Finished albums normally take between 8 to 12 weeks after you have submitted the list of prints that you want included in your album.

7. Do you use film or are you digital.

We are completely digital, we do not use film.

8. Why should I hire a professional photographer? I have a friend that owns a professional camera that said that they would take pictures of my wedding.

Owning a professional camera is only a small piece of what makes good wedding photography. A professional wedding photographer will have lighting for your church and your reception, has backup equipment, is not only able to photography the wedding and produce proofs, but can also design a flush-mount album containing your favorite images. A professional photographer’s sole purpose of being at your wedding is to photograph. A professional will not be socializing with your guests and miss an event at your wedding. Before allowing your friend to photograph an event as important as your wedding day, look at their work; check on how many complete weddings they have photographed, and make sure they have all the equipment they will need.

9. Have you photographed at my church or reception site before?

Our policy is that if we have not photographed at your church or reception site before, we will do a best effort attempt to visit the site before the wedding.

10. What is the difference between a proof and images in a finished album?

A proof is an image that may have had minor color and exposure correction. It will need additional color correction and touchup before it would be considered a finished print. Images that are in albums or purchased prints will have basic touchup at no extra charge. Additional color correction will be completed if needed. Images taken in churches or reception halls many times require color correction because of the multiple lighting sources.

11. Can I add additional hours to my wedding selection or upgrade my finished album?

Depending on which hourly selection you are looking at, additional hours are $175 or $250 per hour. Finished albums in wedding selections can be upgraded (add pages or change to a different type of album).

12. Are there additional travel costs?

As long as your church and/or reception are not over 75 miles from Sun Prairie, WI, there are no additional travel costs. If your church and/or reception are over 75 miles from Sun Prairie, WI, an additional $50.00 is added to your selection. A distance of over 125 miles will be quoted.
